KREW Jackson Shoes.

From Hypebeast.

"Following yesterday’s announcement of its new footwear range, KR3W unveils a further look into its Jackson silhouette. The kicks, simplistic yet sophisticated, will be offered in three different colorways this year, including black suede, brown leather and grey canvas versions."

I do not think I own one pair of formal shoes. Truth is I hate them. However I may pick me up a pair of these for those special occasions. Actually I wouldn't mind owning all the colors.

Check out the colors here.

Pedal Consumption has stickers

I am going to pick some for my computer case and the Pista. I figure the paint is shot so why not sticker it up. I've seem some bikes plastered with stickers and it's pretty sick.

Get them here.

Hump Day.

In an effort to get some regular post going I am going to post pictures of pretty women on bikes on Wednesday. Many call Wednesday, "hump day" and what guy( or some girls) don't like a nice set of humps to get them through their mid-week struggles.

Gotta give props to my school...

My school, Philadelphia University has a fashion show every year. Just wanted to give my friends a shout who participated in both designing and modeling in it.

EDIT: The embeded code won't work for whatever reason so check the 6ABC video here.

Wonka being EPIC as usual.

Here is a video of Wonka at Mid-West Mayhem hitting from what I have read; a 6 foot gap, to wall ride. To sick.

I am picking this belt by Fabric Horse up ASAP.

Saw this over at Pedal Consumption. I am desperately in need of a new belt, since I've had the same one for the last 7 years. They say it's not ment to be used as a belt. I just wonder how good the buttons hold belt wise. Look for a review in the next few weeks cause I am going to be ordering this.

Pick one up here at Fabric Horse

Is it wrong...

that I think the paint on this 14bikeco x D*Face x BRIGHT is hideous? The air brush work is sick but I think the skulls are a tad over done and tacky. Whatever, I'm sure someone is going to drop mad bills on it for the "sick custom paint job." If I got it's first stop would be the powdercoater. Judge for yourself.

More picshere.

If I wore a helmet I'd wear this...

helmet by CCP. My friend Emily said I should wear a helmet instead of a hat, if I did I would probably rock this. Probably not as safe as a helmet but it is better then nothing.

Found at bluelug with more pictures.

Finaly a New Era Cycling Cap.

I want a cycling hat so bad but frankly I hate the look. I love my New Era fitteds but hate riding with them. I am definitely going to pick me up one of these.

Found over at FGB.

Charge Shaker Hub and Grater Cog.

New hub and cog combo from Charge Bikes. I'm digging the name as well.

Gotta get me a pair...

Ugly on the outside, sick on the inside.

The StumbleUpon button is amazing. If you don't use it there is something wrong with you, however if you do, you know it wastes more time then creepin' on facebook. I stumbled on a blog with this pink house. At first I wanted to kill myself but inside is one of the sickest interiors I've ever seen.

Check out more pictures here.

The Shadow Consipiricy

Saw over at Prolly's blog that one of my favorite BMX brands The Shadow Conspiracy are getting into fixed gear products. The colors look sick. That blue would be pimp on the Pista.

Bishop Bikes.

So browsing through the other blogs I saw a few post about this bike company called Bishop Bikes. Each one had a pictures of different bikes but after going to the site I must say this one is by far my favorite.

All the bikes are custom but check out the gallery over at Bishop Bikes.

Nice little vid.

I am trying my best to find original stuff to post here but I saw this video over at Fixed Gear Blog and had to post it. I really like this video because it doesn't focus on any tricks or bullshit. Just the joy of riding with some friends. Enjoy

Because I am facinated with little things like...

From RIDEPDW:

Made of sculpted alloy and bamboo, the _magic flute pump is a work of art that fits in your pocket. You can use the regulated co2 to inflate your tire in seconds or, if you have a little more time or are out of cartridges, you can pump the old fashioned way. Works with Presta or Schrader valves.
  • Check their other items. Each piece is definitely like a work of art.

GOrilla's Kilroy is here.

My new favorite frame is now out. The Kilroy by GOrilla.

Heres the word from GOrilla's blog.

After slamming and breaking our prototypes in public and in front of cameras, we finally started production of the Kilroy frame. The tests that Wonka ran lead to the conclusion that we had to manufacture a tube set just for this frame, with particular reinforced parts to absorb and handle the stress of the jumps. Together with Columbus we decided to change the alloy in order to avoid very thick and heavy tubes and gain in strength nevertheless. We are proud to present the first freestyle frame in Niobium steel. The Columbus Niobium steel is a special micro alloyed steel with Manganese, Chrome, Nickel, Molybdenum and Niobium that is designed to provide superior mechanical properties

For 799? Not as high as I thought. This makes me want a job like no other.

Edit: trackosaurus beat me to it. Gotta step my game up.

AURORA FRS review.

Coming up with new ideas for this blog is a lot harder then I thought. I hope it will get easier. Well while thinking of what to post about I remembered I purchased something a little bit ago that I have not seen a review for. That item was a Foot Retention System (FRS) by a German company called Aurora. I really wanted to try this new FRS thing that was "sweeping" the fixed gear world. At the time I only knew a few companies like Hold Fast that made them. The only problem was that I would need to buy BMX pedals. That is when I found these Aurora straps. They were designed to work road pedals, and would fit perfectly with my MKS street/track pedals.

Now I know many may say "Are you tricking on that Pista Concept?" or something like that. The answer is no. However I really didn't like the toe overlap and I didn't like only being able to wear my Vans when I ride.

Well now onto the actual review. They took a few weeks to get here, and Aurora lets you know that since they are being shipped from Germany. Once they did arrive I was impressed with the quality. I threw them on the bike and went for a ride. The first problem I encountered was adjusting them. You need to adjust them at a stop since there buckle to simply pull and adjust. You need to adjust the four straps separately before you ride. This was kind of a hassle, however I saw on their site that they may develop ones with a buckle for ease of adjustment. (CAN I HAVE MINE REPLACED?) I may tryand add a buckle in mine, it doesn't seem like to much work.

Once I adjusted them everything was fine from there on out. I was a tad hesitant to skid with these cause I wasn't sure how they would respond. I went for it and didn't notice any difference from normal clips. I tested out the strength of the velcro by trying a few bunny hops here and there and they held up extremely well. I got one of the first batches and it looks like they haven't changed much. I highly recommend these if you want to go the FRS without having to buy platform pedals or solve your toe overlap problems since you can set the straps yourself.

For better pictures and their store head to site or store (They have some pretty sick shirts as well)

Sorry for the shit pictures. I am just using my phone. I've never owned a digital camera. Maybe it's time I invest in a SLR

Interesting Concept.

A friend showed me this. It seems like a very interesting concept. Seems like it would come in handy if you took long treks or lived in a place with a ton of hills.

Wonka Playing with Fire.

Wonka riding GOrilla's new trick frame the Kilroy. This frame is by far one of the sexiest frames I've ever seen. Maybe one day I'll be lucky enough to have one.

The First Post.

Since this is the first post in what I hope will become a successful and well read blog, I will start by telling you about me. It seems only right. I'm Joe , 21 years old and attended the "prestigious" Philadelphia University. I am majoring in Architectural Studies, with a focus in Construction Management. After I graduate from here I'd like to go to UPenn to receive my Masters in Architecture.I've always had a thing for writing and thought it would be interesting to write a blog. However I wasn't sure what to blog about. I first rode a fixed gear bike about a year ago. I was hooked right away. Finances kept me from buying my first fixed gear till this summer.

Just a bright orange Windsor Clockwork. It was pretty good for learning. However I was always on the look out for something "better." The bike didn't seem to fit me right so I really didn't like riding it.

On a rainy fall day I went to a swap meet in bumble fuck, PA . I was on the look out for a frame but, I really was just looking for parts to upgrade the Windsor. While at a vendors blanket I heard a guy ask how much for a black frame. I looked over and saw it was a Bianchi Pista Concept. However it looked really small. The owner didn't know the size. However when I heard him say $100 for the frame I said what the hell and bought it. It had a small dent in the top tube, I figured for $100 if it fits better then the Windsor it'll be worth it till it breaks. I scored some other awesome parts at the meet such Sugino 75 crankset for $125.
I put the bike together nervous if it would be a good fit, I hopped on and it was perfect. It would still be prefect if I had wheels on it. I just have two rims. Hopefully I can score some hubs or something.

Anyway enough about me. This will be the longest post of the blog from her on out. I going to attempt and strive to have this blog compete with the "Big Boys" such as Prolly, Locked Cog, and Zlog (My personal favorites). I am going to try and have the initive to update this everyday. I hope that I can generate some comments from the 3 people that will probably read this. If you have some pictures or something you want me to write about email me. Though this blog will be predominantly about fixed gear bikes, I will also be posting about architecture, design, music and anything else I find interesting, and think you may as well. So do me a favor and add this to your bookmarks and check back regularly.
